Now I really had to get my thinking cap on for this one! I went with wet paint, wet ink and wet glue! As you can see the finished article is a dry canvas! So I put some little droplets onto the stampbord to make it look like dew ... which is the wettest look I could come up with!
I will not be apologising for using Claudine Hellmuth's sticky backed canvas again ... I really really love it! Once you have mounted it onto aluminium sheet it can be moulded and sculpted and keeps its shape totally - plus you can have it any colour you like ... which means fabulous embellishments on ... erm ... everything!
The flower stamps are Stitchels Dotty Dots and Stitchels Dotty Dot Mini

I made this page, about my uncle, and what he always said to me when I was in a period of hard times. Translation: Chin up, shoulders straight en look into the world, you are worth it!
I was inspired by the Creative Therapy blog doing this page. I used the Aussie dare on the journaling-tag: I used distress ink and drops of water (Tim Holz technique), you can see the result in the close up.

For my wet piece I wanted to create something that looked like it had been ravaged by moisture and damp over a period of time. I used an old cabinet card photo album page. Splashed ink all over, spritzed water to buckle the card and rubbed with my finger so some of the paper was removed and distressed the edges.
I used an old photo, burnt a couple of holes in a piece of transparency, placed it over the top, then added a sheet of mica to give it an aged feel. I then collected some mossy sticks and bark, (the beauty of living in chilly Ballarat, moss & lichen grows very freely in damp places) Added them to my piece, added an old watch makers glass jar with a photo of a little child inside, a few more embellishments and my piece was complete.

This month I have decided to use a very simple technique; Wet Embossing. This technique was used in two different ways on my layout. The first was to use embossing powder to cover the chipboard elements. The black embossing powder used here gives a very glossy effect which matched perfectly with the S.E.I papers. The second was to wet emboss a stamped imaged. I have stamped directly onto the page before embossing to create the black corner feature as well as stamping and embossing some butterflies before cutting them out and adhering them to the page.

I inked using mainly Tim Holtz inks, spritzed, crumpled, inked some more and spritzed some more. Hung the paper on the line to dry then created! The book covers I didn't crumple, but I glimmer misted the design on the front cover. I also covered the insides of the covers.
For the layout I used the "leftovers" from the book covers and crumpled them etcetc. I have wanted to use the drink coaster for a while and had it on my scrap room bench getting inspiration........... This design seemed to work well with it. This subject really challenged me and I have tried to do things I have'nt done for a while.

I have used tissue paper that was sprayed with water and then painted onto in rich golden paint colours that was then spritzed again with more water. Embossed with Burgandy, embellished with Golden Black Mica Flakes, Golden Garnet Gel Medium and antique gold rub on's. Embellished with some beads around the waist and the metal heart on both sides. This stand is used to hold altered mini projects that I have made. The stand was once a garish pink with scrolls stamped on it and was found at a thrifty market for 10 cents. Definitely now loved and used, former life destined for the rubbish dump.

I discovered this while attempting to solder lol!
I spilled some solder and the droplets fell on my metal surface washingmachine ( i do risky techniques in the kitchen lol!)
It were the coolest droplets ever! So forgot all about my feable attempts to solder a pendant and started dripping some more..
I scraped the cooled down droplets off my washingmachine and i now have the coolest metal drops to glue onto any surface!
